Make: The make of your laptop usually on the top lid of your laptop, or alternatively on manufacturers label on the bottom of the laptop.

Model: The model number can be found on the manufacturers label which is located on the bottom of the laptop.

Screen: You can determine your laptops screen size by measuring the bottom left hand corner to the top right hand corner of the screen (not the rim) using a measuring tape or a ruler with inches on. The most common screen size of laptop is 15″ to 16″.

RAM: Right click on “Computer” then Left click on “Properties”. Your RAM size is stated under “System or General” depending on the operating system you are running.

Hard Drive: Access folder “Computer” then Right click your hard drive (normally C:) and then Left click on “Properties”. Size of your Hard Drive is under “Capacity”. If your laptop has multiple hard drives add both the capacities together.
Processor: Right click on “Computer” then Left click on “Properties”. Your Processor is stated under “System” or “General” depending on the operating system you are running.

Processor Speed: Right click on “Computer” then Left click on “Properties”. Your Processor speed is stated under “System” or “General” depending on the operating system you are running. Providing your processor speed is not necessary.
Operation System: Right click on “Computer” then Left click on “Properties”. Your Operating System is stated under “windows edition”.
Age: The number of years between the date the laptop was bought brand new and the current date.
Condition:

  • Excellent Condition: This means your device is fully functional and shows absolutely no signs of wear and has all the accessories that came with it from the manufacturer.
  • Good Condition: Your device is fully functional but shows some minor signs of wear that are non noticeable.
  • Average: System issues that do not require part replacement, ex.: windows password locked, infected with virus, missing drivers. OR Signs of use with marks and scratches visible.
  • Poor Condition: Multiple defective hardware. Cracks, chips in paint and lots of marks and damage to the shell.
